Peacefully at his home on April 8, 2011, Mr. George A.W. Macfarlane of Melbourne (previously of Chatham) in his 87th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Jean (Sutherland). Loving father of Anne Marie and her husband Norman, Jill and her husband Randy, Sandy, and Jeanette. Dear grandfather of Bradley, David, Jeremy, Ryan, Sarah, Christopher, Iain, and Colin. Great grandfather of Meghan, Ryan, and Andrew. Predeceased by his first wife Marian (1992). Visitation at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas St., London) on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 13, 2011 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Chatham, Ontario. In memory of George, contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
