Gary Leslie Smith

December 27, 1943-September 14, 2024

Gary passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024, and is survived by his loving and devoted wife of almost 35 years, Sarah. He was a loving father to Denise (Jeff), Darrell, Chantal, and Crystal. He was also a loving grandfather to Danielle (Jonathan). He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Mary, his siblings, and his stepson, John. He is also survived by his nephew Todd, nieces Sherri and Kim, and their families.

Gary was a woodworker, gardener, golfer, and an all-around people person and animal lover. He spent his entire career as an Engineering Technician at Development Engineering. He loved the Lord and remained faithful despite the struggles he faced, overcoming them through his faith. Gary was a devoted member of St. Michael & All Angels Church from 1975 until his illness in 2017. The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Elmwood for their loving care of Gary over the past two years. Cremation will take place, and Gary is asked to be remembered in your prayers.
