Earl (Jim), was born in Nova Scotia and moved to Ontario when he was seven.
His most enjoyable past time was yard work and being outside with nature. Walks in the park in Dorchester and at the local Community Centre with his wife and friends was special to him and he looked forward to these outings on several occasions each week.
In addition to the love of yard work, gardening and the outdoors, his love of family was always at the forefront.
He was a hard core Toronto Maple Leafs fan, had a love of NASCAR Races, having watched many in person. He had a love of trains and loved to travel, especially to Vegas. He was also a ‘Jack of all trades’ being able to fix or come up with a solution to almost anything.
Special thanks to the Palliative Care team at Victoria hospital for their compassion and heart felt words the past few weeks.
There will be no funeral. Cremation has already taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring, the time of year, he most cherished as things spring into life. Details will follow with family and friends at a later date.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Defeat Duchenne Canada (Jesses Journey) or the Canadian Cancer Society.
