William Glenn Pike was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on February 16, 1937, to Seer and Bernice Pike. He was one of six children. William passed away peacefully in his Westland, Michigan home on June 22, 2024, at the age of 87.
William was the beloved husband of the late Dolores for 48 years until her death in 2011. He was blessed to find love again and was currently married to his dear wife Doris for the last eleven years.
William was the loving father of Terry (Diana) Lee, David Lee, Lynda Moton, Kelly (Larry) Bigelow, and Bill Pike. Stepfather of: William Rand, Larry (Cherlyn) Rand, Margaret Rand, and Mary Anne Plano.
Dear grandfather of Jordan Lee, Christina Lee-Jackson, Joshua (Leah) Bigelow, Aaron (Brenna) Bigelow, Abigail Bigelow, William Nicholas Pike, and Zachary Noah Pike. Great-grandfather of Bellamy Bigelow. Brother-in-law of Joyce. William also cherished his two step-grandchildren Jennifer (Mark) Davidson and Jeffrey (Amy) Rand and two step-great-grandchildren Jeffrey Rand II and Jake Rand.
Preceded in death by his brothers: Wallace (Marcella), Donald, Warren (Donna), Raymond (Jean) and Arthur Pike.
William graduated from Spring Arbor High School in 1955 and went on to a long and happy career he loved as a Design Engineer for Ford Motor Company. After he retired from Ford, he went to work for Leer Seating. He and his wife Dolores owned and operated a successful Amway business in the 1970’s and 80’s.
William’s life will be celebrated with a service at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church in Canton, Michigan, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. William's family will receive visitors at church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. He will be privately laid to rest in Christian Memorial Gardens, Rochester Hills, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may consider contributions in William's memory to SEND North, a ministry organization that William holds dear to his heart. Their address is P.O.
