Virginia and I discovered each other through Ancestry research. We are 1st cousins, once removed, with a common ancestor on her Father's side (grandfather Joseph Signorelli), I'm from the New York wing of the family. We would discuss all of the people in the family, past and present, pretty much on a weekly basis. The Signorelli's who emigrated to this country went through some really tough hardships and a lot of craziness!! Half the Signorelli ancestors left to go back to Sicily while leaving two teen brothers behind in Michigan! Who does that!! I must admit there were lots of fun stories on both sides and definitely lots of laughs. The similarities on both sides always amazed me, With all of this craziness in the family history, Virginia somehow managed to make peace with all of them and move forward to create the most amazing family with the best values one could ever wish for. Virginia was blessed with such great children and many, many beautiful grandchildren. God truly loves her and now she's with her husband who she loved so dearly. I always looked forward to talking with her. I'm really going to miss her. God bless her in heaven.

I don't know Virginia.  I'm sure I met her several times as a friend of Eric and Chritine's.

All I know is how much Eric loved her and that she had a life well lived.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Henzi family. I know Virginia and the Henzi family have positively impacted the lives of so many.

The night before Kindergarten Mrs Henzi saw my sister and me at the fireworks show they had at  Whitman Park. Mrs Henzi said “what’s your name my name is Jimmy and she said this is my son Eric “ after that we became the best of friends … I can remover every day after Christmas I would always go over to Eric’s house for two reasons 1 to see what Sabra gave Eric for Christmas … But the 2nd reason is to be with the Henzi family because  it was always be a nice a friendly tone  I was always welcomed at the door and Mrs Henzi would always be at the door and we good to the kitchen because I waited for Eric to wake up.. and the memories at that kitchen table will always be in my heart..  Mrs Henzi will always  be my second d mom.. sometimes I would get brekfast made for me… and would. Talk to Mr Henzi  I thought he was a big star when I found out he was on TV channel 50 news..  Sheldon Pool many memories going to Eric’s house building g snow forts then Mrs Henzi would ask if I would like to stay for Lunch and you know my answer was ..  so many memories…  I’m going to miss you so much…  say hi to Mr Henzi for me…. 

A best friend, that’s what Virginia was to me.  Better than a sister.  I relied on her for many decisions I’ve made.  Her, Jean and I were great friends who had fun together.  I’ll miss her tremendously.  Bless her beautiful soul.  Rest In Peace with Fred in Heaven.

When I was a kid, Virginia was the person we went to if something happened, and mom wasn’t around.  I have many childhood memories of you two and Jean sitting on the porch in the summer chewing the fat, and laughing.  You were a best friend to my mom through many years, bringing over desserts, treats for the dogs, and being there in tough times.   God bless you Virginia, You will be missed.  I know you and Fred are walking together, with Jesus in Heaven. 

Virginia was a wonderful soul! When I first met my husband Scott in the summer of 2001 Rick, Scott and I went swimming at Kurt and Joyce's home. After that, they took me to meet their mom for the first time. (Rosemary) Virginia was having a family bbq across the street, and all 3 of us went over there. I knew no one, and Virginia was so welcoming, kind and sweet! She made me feel right at home, I will never ever forget that. As the years passed by we all grew close, we were like family! Rose and Virginia were two peas in a pod, and the cutest best friends! But, also so funny when they were together! I loved hanging out with them and just hysterically laughing so much! She will forever be missed and honestly...Never Forgotten!! Sending much love to her family, and all who loved and knew her too! Heaven has gained another angel!

I'm extremely heartbroken by this news. I live across the street from Virginia, and I always felt like she looked out for me and my son. Living across from her brought me more comfort than words can say, and she always reminded me of one of my dear sweet Grandma's. I will forever remember her caring nature. These last few years were financially hard for me. A couple years ago Virginia randomly gave me a Christmas tree that she used to use and it was perfect timing because I didn't have a tree. I will always put this tree up yearly and remember her fondly. Also, we went without a TV for a while, and Virginia randomly gave us a VCR TV and some movies last year and it brought us so much entertainment. My son used to shout across the street, "Ginia!" And she'd give him cookies ☺️. I thought her and her dog Ginger were so cute, and I admired how her kids would help her out with all of her yard work and everything. If you guys need help with anything please let me know or stop by. I'm very grateful to have met Virginia in this life and to have been fortunate to live across from her for years. This street will never be the same without her. RIP and thank you for everything Virginia! You will be greatly missed. 💗😇

No words and completely heart broken.  Meme was not just my grandmother, but she was one of my best friends whom loved her family more than anything. She and I talked everyday whether it was needed advice, checking in or just letting her know I was on my way over for a visit to chat about life, my meme was funny, loving and most of all caring. She will be deeply missed, not only by me but by all ❤️

Virginia, Aunt Virginia, MeMe,Mom. What can I say about the only Mother I’ve had for 30 years? I first met Virginia, Aunt Virginia, MiMi, Mom when I first started dating Denise and was invited to Thanksgiving dinner at the Henzi’s. Wanting to make a good impression I searched the area party stores to find a six pack of Molson Ice for Fred, Uncle Fred, PaPa, Dad and a pretty centerpiece from the florist for Mom. The introduction went great and I immediately felt the love in the Henzi family. As years went by becoming a permanent member of this wonderful family I became more attached to Virginia, Aunt Virginia, MeMe,Mom. Shocked, saddened but rejoicing in the knowledge that Mom was filled with the spirit of our savior Jesus Christ. I’ll miss you Mother. 🙏🫶😢

Virginia was one of my favorite cousins!!  She would call me and keep me up to date on the family and we would talk about the memories I had of growing up with them in my life.  She was an extraordinary  person whom I loved so much.  She will be missed by many.

Dinner at DeLuca's in Westland.  Eric, Christine, Helen Carrick, Dan Carrick (taking the pic).  Sometimes when Eric would phone his mom, she would complain that he was talking too loudly.  "In my EAR!"
