On July 13, 1968, Tom married the love of his life, Karen, and together they shared 56 wonderful years. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Lori and Amy, whom Tom adored and cherished deeply.
Tom dedicated his career to mechanical design, but his true passion lay in woodworking. He was a skilled craftsman who used his talents to create countless treasures for his family. From designing and building the interior of his beloved home "up north" to crafting swing sets, dollhouses, toy boxes, and bookshelves for his daughters, Tom’s creations were a testament to his love and devotion. Tom was an avid football fan, with a special place in his heart for University of Michigan, Go Blue!
To cherish his memory, Tom leaves behind his beloved wife, Karen, and his two daughters, Lori (Michael) Shelide and Amy (Justin) Bennett, as well as four grandchildren, Abigail, McKenna, Zachary, and Tyler, who brought him endless joy and pride.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Benney.
