Sandra “Sandy” Kathleen Cook was born on September 6, 1943 in Pontiac, Michigan to Lauran and Mildred Smallbrook. She passed away peacefully under the gentle care of Marywood Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Livonia, Michigan on April 3 at the age of 76.
Sandy was the beloved wife of the late Mike Cook for 51 years. She is survived by her 3 children; April (Brian) Bourlier, Michelle (Jerry) Maxwell and Michael (Debbie) Cook. Dear grandmother of Grayson Mirat, Tyler Maxwell, Casey Maxwell, Benjamin Cook, Jackson Cook, Courtney Bourlier and Christina (Corey) Beaujean. She is also survived by her only sister Barbara (Alan) Hogan and many nieces and nephews.
Sandy was an employee of Comerica Bank until her retirement in 2005. She started in the banking centers as a teller and eventually used her outgoing personality to train new banking center employees. However, her passion was her family. She simply loved being a wife, mother, grandma and friend. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her. We were blessed by her strong spirit and loving, generous nature.
Sandy was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Colette Parish in Livonia. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Glen Eden Memorial Park with prayers.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
