Robert Mazziotti (Massey) was born in New Jersey to Rockwell and Dorothy Massey on October 16, 1941. As a young man, his family moved to Dearborn, Michigan where he attended school and graduated from Fordson High School in 1959.
In 1969, Bob began working for the Little Caesars Organization as a store manager. Over the next decade, his hard work, determination and belief in the Little Caesars brand made him the Vice President of U.S. Development, overseeing Franchise Sales for the growing chain from coast to coast. Bob would continue to serve in this position until his final weeks, still making sure young and promising entrepreneurs had their shot at the American Dream by owning their own franchise.
Answering his phone with a “How can I brighten your day?” Bob had an infectious positive attitude and a zeal for life that put a smile on the faces of all around him. His generous spirit endeared him to colleagues, friends and family alike.
Bob leaves behind his adoring wife Dona and their two daughters Marisa and Gina, his children from his first marriage, Mike, Ron, Rick, Ken, Tom and Robin Massey. Bob is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Don and Anne Massey, his nieces Kim and Lynn, grandchildren Michael, T.J., Danielle, Erin, Tony, Kaija Su, Jaicee, Vincent and great-granddaughter Ava.
Bob's family will receive friends on Thursday August 21, 2014 from 3-8 pm with Eulogies 7 pm and Friday August 22, 2014 from 12-8 pm with Rosary Service 7 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.
He will lie in state on Saturday August 23, 2014 from 11 am until the time of his Funeral Mass 12 noon at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 Haggerty Rd. (south of Five Mile Rd) in Plymouth.
