This is Patti, Jim Wieda's daughter. We are saddened to see the passing of Bob, or Uncle Bob, as my dad referred to him for our son Nick. Nick, is bowling in Livonia at the end of April 2022 and we were looking up you and Bob.  We were going to surprise with a visit if you were in Livonia yet.  My dad just loved you both sooo much. Bob was more of a brother to him than his only brother.  What a wonderful long life you both got to share together, God is so good.  May God continue to bless you.

I wanted to offer my condolences to Todd, Sandy and all the Goyer family on the loss of your Dad.   I hope there are plenty of fond memories to help make the days ahead easier.   Will remember your Dad at Mass this week.

I’ve been blessed to have two wonderful men in my life, both named Bob, both I call Dad.  Both shaped me into who I am, and who I hope to be.  
When I think of my father-in law, I think of how he welcomed me with excitement into his family, how whenever I needed help his reply was “that’s what we’re here for” and how incredibly appreciative he was for everything.  I  have so many wonderful  memories of experiences we shared and I am grateful for every one.  I just can’t believe there won’t be anymore.  I thought you were invincible.  Thank you for the lessons you taught me by your example,  the man you raised to be my husband, and the  wonderful grandpa you were to my daughters.  You will be missed beyond words.  

I have a lifetime of memories of my cousin Bob. Our mothers were both McDermotts. My first memory is of Bob visiting us in 1951 at Camp McCoy Wisconsin, where my father was stationed. 
My next vivid memory was their wedding and reception at the Dearborn Inn. I was nearly 7 and enthralled!
Over the years at Aunt Mae Harveys for Thanksgivings and then re-kindling the celebrations. 
My dearest memory of Bob was when he sat with me during the passing  of my dear dad. And his big hugs.

I remember how much he loved car stuff. He was the first one to help me buy my first car I remember how excited he got going car to car until we found the perfect car. He will be so missed!! 

So many memories of my uncle O'Bob!  But I guess the one I'm most grateful for is that he rescued my little thumb from being pinched in a lawn chair when I was a baby.  Still have the scar, but glad I have the thumb!  Loved his spirit.  He will be greatly missed.

After 50 years of friendship between the Goyer and Cook families I can only look back with many fond memories that we've shared over the years.  From hopping our back fence, cutting through neighbor's yards to get to the Goyer's backyard, to Bob and my dad coaching their sons in little league baseball, to tailgating together at U of M football games, to all of the support from Bob, Elaine, Evon, Todd and their families with the passing of my parents.  I'll always remember Bob as a strong man who was steadfast is his convictions, and always fun to talk to and be around.

He will be greatly missed, but always remembered.

I am thankful for my “outlaw” Bob’s helping my parents, Regis and Carl, buy great cars out there which they then drove back to their home in New York. They kept two of those cars (maroon Buick’s) until my mother Regis Buckley died in March 2007. This practical help was especially important and a real demonstration of his caring! I give thanks for his life!
