Robert "Bob" George Savageau

Beloved Husband of 66 years to Sally Savageau. Loving Father of Sue Matheus, Mimi Hoffman (Joe), Rob Savageau, Rich Savageau (Janet), Rory Savageau (Debbie), Shari Waun-Hosley, Ron Savageau, and Russ Savageau. Loving Grandfather of 25 and Great Grandfather of 13.

Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1935, the second child of George and Ann (Hagner) Savageau. He attended high school at Saint George Catholic High School, and continued his education at Ohio State University studying engineering and earned a degree in Chemical Engineering.

Bob’s most recent employment was with Flint Ink Company where he worked for 24 years before retiring. After retiring he could be found working in his gardens, volunteering at Michigan State University Tollgate Farm, fishing, playing pool with family members, working on projects around the house, and for a short while as a volunteer at Ascension Providence Park Hospital.

A memorial mass for Bob will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory, 133 Orchard Drive, Northville, MI 48167.
