I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Rick. I babysat for them for years and he was always very kind. I remember him working from his garage and always making beautiful things. 
My most sincere condolences to his family, especially Jonathan.

I am so sorry to read about Rick's passing.  Rick and I attended George Ford Jr. High in Detroit together and was a very good friend.  Always an upbeat, friendly, smiling guy.

Going through old photos during this "lockdown," I ran across our 9th grade "graduation" from Ford...and decided to try and contact long-lost friends.  The first one I attempted to contact was Rick.  Now, I regret not trying to get in touch earlier.  I believe Rich had an older brother who was friends with my older brother, too (my brother, Dan, passed away in 2010).

To Rick's family...my sincerest condolences.

So sad to read this sad news!  Ricky was always  a sweet guy through our school years  at George  Ford!   We were all like family in those day’s and we shared some wonderful years together!

My heart is broken that we loss a friend that was way to young 💔 Prayers to his family, as God has another angel returning home.

Rick was a childhood friend to me and my brothers Phil and John.  Actually he was more like a brother to us.  We spent many years roaming the streets of Detroit together. He will be greatly missed by many people. Rest in peace dear friend.

I am so sorry to hear this news.  Rick and I started kindergarten together at George Ford, and were buddies right up until his family moved from Detroit.  I smile at the wonderful memories I have of him as we grew up in the 'hood.  The last time I saw him was at the GF "reunion", and it was good to see him looking so handsome and happy; I'm sorry we didn't keep in touch.  The family will be in my thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time.   See ya in Heaven Ricky!


Rick and I have been friends for more than 30 years. I’d like to share some thoughts and memories 

Rick was an awesome finish carpenter. Nobody put more effort into the fine details. Rick built dozens of bank teller-lines for me. Rick’s quality was second to none. He was the best.

On several occasions, I called on Rick to help complete a last minute project, and every single time, Rick & Dave would show up willing to do whatever it took to help me out.

Rick was a lousy fisherman. We spent countless hours floating around Oakland County’s lakes, drowning worms, and solving the worlds problems. We rarely had anything to show for the hours of fishing despite our efforts.

Rick was a good friend. Throughout his working life and the years after, we spent hours on the phone just talking. Rick was smart, he could talk about anything and everything.... And we did.

The attached photo is Rick singing karaoke. Yes, Rick singing in public. We bet him that he would sing a song (on the road again).
I think Rick made $8.50 for that performance.

Rick will be missed. I believe that Rick knew Jesus Christ as his personal savior and through the blood of Christ, I believe I will see Rick again in Heaven. 🙏🏼



I will always remember the three display pedestals Rick made for us when we lived in Brighton and how he came over to the house for an “emergency” cabinet reduction when our new refrigerator turned out to be too tall. Rick was not only a skilled carpenter. He was very kind and generous to us. 

Rick, I never met you but I know your sister Donna from Montana days in the '70s, from before she was a mother and then when she was a young  mother.  The loving, practical,  intelligent qualities she expressed then as now must run deep in your family so I'm sure you had them too.

Condolences to all your family and to Donna and Neil in particular. 
Death, where is "thy sting?" We don't just survive, we prevail in our Heavenly Father.
