One of the kindest men I have ever met.  Truly a servant of God.  We worked together to create and build his non-profit, Outreach Detroit Foundation.  His passion and commitment to the orthodox church, and Jesus Christ, was commendable and inspiring.  Just seeing the pictures of Richard, and his family, still makes me smile.  A very good man.

Richard was a dear friend who I met the Pascha Books and Gifts grand opening.  I was one of his first customers.  We were in the Observer.  He introduced me to Orthodoxy and we became long time friends.  Richard loved God, his family, and the Church.  He tirelessly worked to spread God’s love to EVERYONE. 

Richard was a visionary and taught those of us around him how to think and believe “all things were possible with God”.  I will miss him, but always remember his love for the Church.

Richard spent a whole life time dedicated to the mission of his beloved Orthodox Church in  Greater Detroit.  His warmth and compassion were always available to all he encountered.  His humble dedication is something that I cherish and will continue to do until the Lord too calls me home.  "Well done faithful and wise servant . Now enter into the joy of Your Father.  Christ is Risen! And may Richard rise in glory with Him on the day appointed.

It was a privilege to have known Richard as a personal friend. In addition, it was a blessing and a joy to have provided a new home for his  business/ministry, Pascha Book & Gifts, here at Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church. It should be noted that  although Richard was much kinder to life than life was to him,  it never negatively impacted his empathy and authentic caring for others. He will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing this fine brother in Christ. "May Richard's memory be eternal."
