I knew Pastor Beck for only 1 day back in 2004 when my wife, children, and I visited Central Community Church in 2004 after traveling from Virginia to interview for the youth pastor position.  After our day together and meeting him, his family, and his church, Pastor Beck offered me the position.  I declined for a variety of reasons, but I never forgot Pastor Beck and the presence of Jesus that rested upon him.  I knew from our time together that he was a genuine lover of Jesus and His people.  My heart is saddened to know this world lost Pastor Beck, but Heaven still rejoices knowing he has come home.

What can I say? There is no words to express my feelings. Pastor Phil was such a great man. He touched my life and the lives of my children. I could never thank him enough for what he did for my family. I love you all and will continue to pray for you all.

Pastor Phil will be deeply missed but he left a legacy to so many of what it meant to walk side by side with Jesus. He had such a big heart for God and he loved his family and his church family. He gave countless hours into serving God not because he wanted the praise but to show others how to glorify God. I'm so thankful for his many messages at Central Community  Church and he preached straight from the Bible. He also would visit people when they were sick. Pastor Phil was and is such an influential presence in my life. As a child, he baptized me. As a young adult, he supported me. As an adult in college, he encouraged me and challenged me to live out the message of Christ. Pastor Phil, thank you. You will be very dearly missed.

Best wishes to the Beck family. Phil was a great guy. So close to Jesus that I believe he played Christ in one of the Xmas Shows. Keep your faith for one day we will join Phil and all our saved loved ones. Just think of the "party" we will have with all those who attended Temple/Northridge and those from the church in PA. My freshman year of Thiel College three friends of mine (who had not typically gone to church) agreed to find a church near school.  We used my GPS to search for nearby churches - placed three in a hat and chose randomly.  The next day we plugged that address into the GPS and headed on our way only to find that it decided to recaculate just as we hit Transfer from Greenville - it recaculated to say it would take some bizarre amount of time (hours) to get to our destination.  Confused and with the realization that most churches would be starting soon, we decided that we would try whichever church came up next on the street.  Central Community Church was that church - we walked in and sat amoung the congregation, enjoyed the upbeat praise music, attentively tuned into Pastor Phil's message and left with astonished remarks.  First of all we had no idea how we ended up at Central when we had chosen the other church from the hat, intentionally plugged the address in yet that didn't seem to be in God's plan.  After connecting with Central, Pastor Phil and his family embraced the opportunity to come to campus and speak at chapel services and assist in intentional fellowship events.  Hearing this sudden news hit hard with said memories my first year being away from home and finding a family in Christ in Central which kept me as well as our group on campus focused on living for Christ.  My heart is truely heavy for the loss of a mentor in Christ and the family and friends affected.  Thank you Lord for your sovereignty, may your presence and comfort be ever-present in our hearts and minds.

A profound testimony to the grace of God. He served tirelessly and humbly. He taught the Gospel to thousands over decades. Quite simply, salvation is offered through Christ alone. His death, burial, resurrection, sighting, and ascension into heaven are documented in Sacred and secular history. Phil's passing is a gut check for those of us who at times struggle to simply submit to The Lord. Thank you Laura, Nate, Ben, and Lindsay for sharing your precious husband and father.
