Patricia A. "Patti" Nixon, 81, of Northville, passed away on November 6, 2019. She was born on August 10, 1938 in Miami, Florida to Garnett and Helen Reeves. Patti met and married Travis Nixon on May 26, 1962. Together they raised two daughters first in Cincinnati, Ohio and then moved to Northville. With Travis, she enjoyed ballroom dancing, travel, gardening and spending time with their grandchildren. She was very active in her church and was a founding member of the Northville Country Girls Garden Club. Patti also belonged to the Northville Women's Club and Bell Choir at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Livonia. "Oma always had treats in her freezer for us", her grandchildren said. The staff at Cedarbrook of Northville consistently remarked about her beautiful smile.
Mrs. Nixon is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline (Dennis) Rau and Jennifer Haman; grandchildren, Jack Haman, Andrew Haman, Marcus Rau and Chloe Rau. In addition to her parents, Patti was pre-deceased by her husband of 55 years, Travis.
Friends may visit on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 West Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Visitation continues on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 34567 West Seven Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Burial will be next to her husband at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia, Michigan.
