Nicholas George Standish passed away peacefully on December 7, 2022. Nick was born in California on December 25th, 1982. He lived most of his life in Livonia and Metro Detroit, with memorable periods in Florida and Virgin Islands.
From early childhood, he loved sports with a special interest in football. Whether playing for Livonia teams or watching college or pro-ball, Nick was all-in for his favorite pastime. He was an avid Michigan fan and loved his Detroit Lions. Nick also had a special love for music and could recite musical lyrics and trivia like no other.
Nick is survived by his father and step-mother, John and Jean Standish of Alpena, Michigan, his Mother Donna Coppola and step-father Bruce Tenniswood of Livonia, and his siblings Mandi (Jake) Hewitt, Scott Coppola, Ben (Katie) Tenniswood, and Lacey (George) Stapleton, as well his Grandmother Sylvia Cooper. Nick was a special uncle to Will, Gracie, Felicity, Cole, and Felix. He was loved by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his grandparents Nick and Dale Standish and George Cooper and his step- father Frank Coppola.
Nick will be remembered at a memorial service at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 6 Mile Road in Livonia on December 13, 2022. Viewing will be from 5-8:00 p.m.with the service at 7:00 p.m.
The family asks that memorial contributions be considered for an ongoing meal sponsorship through Crossroads Soup Kitchen in Nicks memory.
