Michelle Celeste Gargol

Michelle Celeste Gargol, age 65 of Livonia, entered heaven Saturday, July 15, 2023. Michelle was born March 20, 1958 in Detroit, MI to Ronald and Lorraine Hatty, the third of ten children. She was the loving wife of 42 years to Paul. Beloved mother of her adopted children Nicole (Philip) Cuthbertson, Daniel Gargol, and Brian (Kristen) Gargol. Proud grandmother of Addison, Meredith, Killian, and Gracelynn. She will be missed by many other members of her large family.

Michelle was a graduate of Divine Child High School where she received the first female Monsignor Herbert Weier scholar athlete award for her achievements in softball and basketball. She then went on to attend the University of Michigan where she received a Bachelor’s in Education to pursue her career in teaching. Since childhood, she always had a creative side. She was passionate about painting, crafting, and scrapbooking; she went as far as creating personalized cards for Christmas every year.

A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, July 25, at 10:00am at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh, Livonia, MI 48152, followed by a mass beginning at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the Gargol family asks donations in her memory be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
