She was born on April 9, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois. Daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret Deacy. Proceeded in death by brothers Jerome, Anthony, and Patrick Deacy. Dear sister of Madonna Fishback and Margaret Ryan.
Mary Lou graduated from Mercy High School in Tinley Park, Illinois in 1949. She attended Fox College in Illinois. Mary Lou worked for Boyle-Midway Inc. as a secretary. 44 years ago, she moved to Livonia, Michigan, where she was a second grade Catechism teacher for St. Edith church for 12 years. For several years, Mary Lou volunteered as a special education aid for Holmes Jr. High School. She was also a para-professional for the Livonia Public School District for 17 years at the Skills Center.
Mary Lou leaves behind her beloved husband of 56 years, Bob Dolmetsch. They met in 1948 and were high school sweethearts that dated for seven years. On April 16, 1955, they were married at St. Leo Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois.
Mary Lou was a loving mother to four children, Robert (Sharon) Dolmetsch of Northville, Jim (Lisa) Dolmetsch of Livonia, Mary Jo (Mark) Westbrook of Plymouth, and Patti (Rick) Galli of Livonia.
Mary Lou was a proud grandmother to Edward, Kristin, Mike, Anthony, Sara, Gina, Jeanette, Jackie, and Troy. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family, friends, and her grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 11 from 2:00-9:00PM, with a rosary service at 8:00PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia. Celebration of life funeral service will be held Monday, December 12 at 10:00AM at St. Colette Catholic Church in Livonia.
