Mary Ann is survived by six of her children Chester (the late Linda) Malczyk, John (Cheryl) Malczyk Jr., Kevin (Veronica) Malczyk, Kathryn (Christopher) Nordberg, Lisa (Keith) Brandt, and Pamela (Sean) Dei; brother Thomas E. (Christine) Jaster; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; niece Vicki (Tom) Atkins and nephew Thomas M. (Jennifer) Jaster.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband John M. Malczyk, daughter Lynn Ludlam, and grandchild John Malczyk III.
Mary Ann was a 1953 graduate of St. Ladislaus Catholic High School in Hamtramck, MI. She was married to John Malczyk on September 28, 1957 where they danced many polkas and had wonderful Warrendale Community friendships raising their family until John’s passing in 2001. She was a loving, stay at home mother to her 7 children, made time to be a lunch mother in school, car pool driver and coach her daughters in CYO softball. Mary Ann loved to cook and many can remember Sunday dinners at the Malczyk’s house. Mary Ann’s favorite vacation spot was Las Vegas where she used to visit yearly with her husband or her daughters. All her grandchildren held a special place in her heart.
A memorial visitation for Mary Ann will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI. 48152 with a rosary service at 7:00 pm. A memorial mass will occur Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Victory, 133 Orchard Dr., Northville, MI. Family and friends may gather at church on Saturday beginning at 9:30 am.
