Marguerite Louise Koos, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born on February 4, 1938, to Dewey and Eleanor Wood in Clare, Michigan.
Marguerite is survived by her loving children: Kathleen (Jim) Hayden, Kim (Eric) Kasaba, Karen (Bill) Ruffus, Kolleen (Darwin) Baas, and Kari (Jeremy) Murphy. She was a cherished sister to Jeanne (Dick) Haynak and Linda (Tom) Jones. Marguerite also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren whom she adored.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Koos, her son Mark Koos, and her brothers William Wood, LaVern Wood, Claire Wood, and Alfred Wood.
Marguerite married the love of her life, David, on June 30, 1956, and together they shared 61 beautiful years of marriage, raising a close-knit and loving family. Marguerite was a dedicated mother who found immense joy in caring for her family. Her presence and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marguerite was a devout Catholic and an active member of Divine Child Church in Dearborn for many years. She also dedicated over two decades to St. Priscilla Parish in Livonia, where she volunteered enthusiastically and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary.
Outside of her church community, Marguerite enjoyed summers spent at the family cottage in Caseville, where she created cherished memories with her loved ones. She was an avid golfer and bowler, finding delight in friendly competition and camaraderie.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 5-8pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia, with a Rosary service at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 10am (in state at 9:30am) at St. Priscilla Catholic Church in Livonia. Marguerite will be laid to rest at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.
Marguerite's legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family and community will forever be remembered and cherished by all whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
