Margaret Jean Covitz

Margaret Jean Covitz "Bama", was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 2, 1936 to the late Anthony and Esther Kuchinski. She was one of six children. Margaret passed away peacefully, in Westland, Michigan on Friday, June 7, 2024 at the age of 88.

Margaret was the former wife of Anthony Covitz Jr. for over 60 years. Mother of Anthony (Sue) Covitz, and Laura Kuchinski. Dear "Bama" of Kyle (Joanne) Posluszny, Stephen Covitz, Eliot Zain, and Dylan Zain. Sister of Gloria (the late Richard) Schwagle.

Predeceased by her siblings, Richard Kuchinski, Bob Kuchinski, Gertrude Mitchell, and Eileen Ksionzek

Margaret was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in LIvonia, Michigan. She was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan. She also found enjoyment watching her grandchildren play any type of youth sports. She never missed any of their games albeit bowling, basketball, football or baseball. When Laura and Tony were young, she was very involved in their schooling. She was an active member of the PTA, and attended all of the school functions and outings. In her later years she simply loved watching Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, and playing Scrabble because she was proudly great at spelling.
