Louis John Young

Louis John Young, age 69, of Livonia, Michigan passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020. He was born August 1, 1951 in Detroit, MI. He was most proud of his family. He met the love of his life, Sue, in 1973 when they were 17 and 21. They married in 1975 and were happily married for over 45 years.

Lou is preceded in death by his parents, John and Elsa Young; survived by his beloved wife Susan; his three children Lou Jr (Carrie) Young, Lindsey (Chad) Kotrba, and Laurie (Jim) Spiker; six grandchildren Liam, Brielle, Emily, Louie III, Henry and Onilee; sister Rose (Huntley) Robinson; and 7 nieces and nephews.

He was hard working in all aspects of his life. In his 50+ year career in Tool & Die and Management he was admired and respected by all who had the privilege of working with him. In his personal life, he never sat down, always working on the next project or putzing around. Some of his favorite hobbies were riding his Harley around the country on multiple trips with his wife and friends, maintaining his saltwater aquarium, working on household projects at his house as well as for his kids and making all kinds of custom woodwork. Lou's attention to detail in all aspects of his life was unmatched! He was the best Husband, Dad, Papa, and friend.

A visitation for Louis will be held Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Monday, December 28, 2020 at 9:30 AM at St. Aidan's Church, 17500 Farmington Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A burial will occur at Parkview Cemetery, Livonia, MI.
