Joseph Francis Maceri passed away January 31, 2020 in Northville, MI. He was proceeded in death by his parents Paul and Rosemarie Maceri. Incredible husband to his beloved wife, Mari and proud father to their two beautiful children, Christopher and Rachel (Jordan) Dykstra. Survived by his mother in law, Barbara Studzinski, three siblings, Paul, Christine (Dennis) Genge, and Jim (Marijane), his sister-in-law, Monica (Bill) Doroghazi, brother-in-law Keith Studzinski and nieces and nephews Melissa, Lindsey, David, Lauren, Erika and Lucy.
Born March 16, 1955 in Dearborn Heights, Michigan to Paul and Rosemarie, Joe was an independent, hardworking man right from the start. He began working at Connor’s Family Dining in Dearborn Heights when he was 15 years old, the restaurant he not only became the owner of in 1980, but the place he met the love of his life, Mari. Joe always told the story of the day Mari walked in “wearing that blue dress,” and said it was truly love at first sight. He later opened another Connor’s location in Plymouth, MI where he continued his hard work right down the road from his lovely home in Northville. For 39 years, Joe happily provided hospitality to hundreds of guests daily with the most contagious smile and laugh. He was not only a boss, but a friend to so many employees. He loved the “classics” like the Ford Mustang, a good Rock n Rye pop, and all things Star Trek. He was notorious for his one-of-a-kind, theatrical stories and was constantly spreading his love for life, God and his family to everyone.
