John Joe Henry Robertson was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 26, 1926 to Kenneth Francis Robertson and Frances Mary Pouget Robertson. He was one of 4 children. "Jack" passed away peacefully in his Livonia, Michigan home on May 13, 2013, thirteen days before his 87th birthday.
Jack Graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit, Michigan. He served with the United States Navy in WWII, receiving several decorations including a purple heart. He worked at Michigan Bell for 20 years and later became Vice President of Telephone Answering Service, Inc. for 24 years. He volunteered for Angela Hospice Care Center in Livonia, Michigan. He enjoyed golf and was part of the Livonia Senior Men's Golf League winning championships in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2011, as well as individual golf awards in Pinebrook Ironwood Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida
Jack fell in love and married Jean A. (Schultz) Robertson and together they had 6 children. Jean passed away before him in 1985 . He found love again and married his second wife, Patricia A. (Steinberger) Burke Robertson who also passed away before him in 1995. With a broken heart and the support of his children, he was lucky enough to find love a third time and married Concetta Natoci Robertson "Connie", and they happily spent the last 13 years of his life together.

Robertson of Holt, Michigan, Jan (Bob) Bishop of Williamston, Michigan and the late Mark J. Robertson who passed away before him in 1971. Stepfather of Tom Natoci of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Marie (Jim) Gilliam of Morley, Michigan, Anita (Matt) Gray of Lake Orion, Michigan, and John (Sharon) Natoci of Commerce Township, Michigan.
Dear grandpa of Kara (Christopher) Parsons of East Lansing, Michigan, David (Sarah) Johnson of New York, New York, Joseph (Patti) Robertson of Holt, Michigan, Kristen J. Nygren of Fowlerville, Michigan, Leigh E. Johnson of Northville, Michigan, Emma Robertson of Clearwater, Florida, Evan Robertson of Charleston, South Carolina, Katie Robertson of Owosso, Michigan, Gregory Bishop of Williamston, Michigan, Jacqueline Bishop of Williamston, Michigan and the late Erik Robertson who passed away before him in 1989. Proud great-grandpa of Knowles Elizabeth Robertson Johnson. Step-grandpa of Tony Natoci, Alyssa Natoci, Amanda Gilliam, Jonathan Gilliam, Abby Gilliam, Joe Natoci and Adam Natoci.
He will be truly missed by his 3 siblings, Dolores (Gene) Pigula of Roseville, Michigan, Frances McLaughlin of Pinckney, Michigan, and Kenneth (the late Jean) Robertson of Redford Township, Michigan. Jack will also be missed by a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, many dear friends and golf buddies.
The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass at 10:00am followed by a luncheon on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at St. Colette Catholic Church 17600 Newburgh, Livonia, MI 48152. Military Funeral Honors with American Flag Presentation Ceremony will be conducted by the United States Navy Funeral Honors Team following Mass.
Jack will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery. He was very proud that he had earned that privilege as a combat wounded veteran.
