Harry James Glasson, age 94, of Livonia, Michigan passed away on January 16, 2019. Harry was born on April 25, 1924 in Negaunee, Michigan. Devoted son of the late William and Florence Glasson. Brother of the late William Glasson, Viola Sullivan, Edwin Glasson and Leslie Glasson. Uncle of Linda Glasson, the late Robert Glasson, Paula Ward (Paul), Cyndi Wolf (Joseph), Karen Sullivan and Susan Reynolds (Eric). Great uncle of William Ward (Sierra), Anna Ward, Stephanie Wolf, Jason Wolf (Sarah), Elizabeth Wolf, Jacob Wolf, Kaitlyn Thannish (Kyle) and Kerrin Reynolds. Great-great uncle to Camyrn Wolf.
Harry always said he graduated with his diploma in one hand and his draft notice in the other. During World War II he served under General Patton in the Army as a tank commander with Troop "E" 3rd Calvary Reconnaissance Squadron Mechanized. He was in the following battles and campaigns: Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Battle of the Bulge, and Central Europe.
He was awarded the Eamet Campaign Metal with (4) Bronze Stars and Good Conduct Medal GO#1 HQ 3 Cav RCN SQ 44. He was discharged as a corporal in 1945.
After the Army Harry continued his education and entered the banking and financial profession from which he retired. He continued to follow the stock market and finance for the rest of his life.
He was athletic, loved to bowl, play golf, tell jokes, socialize, travel and be with family.

Visitation Friday January 18, 2019 from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Rd. in Livonia.
