Harold N. Beasley, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 28, 2024. Born in Ripley, Mississippi, to Otis and Curtis (Childs) Beasley, Harold lived a life of quiet simplicity, finding joy in small things and the company of those he loved.
Harold married his beloved wife Kathleen on July 26, 1974, and together they celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage. A man of many interests, Harold was passionate about golf, both playing and watching the game, and he spent his later years as a starter at Fox Hills in Plymouth, sharing his love of the sport with others. Known for his wit and wisdom, he enjoyed the challenge of a good crossword puzzle and loved reading. Harold was also a social spirit, always ready for a good meal—especially if it included dessert—and a warm gathering with friends and family.
Harold had a love for travel, especially to warmer climates, where he could relax, golf and embrace life’s beauty. He was a dedicated family man, leaving a legacy of love and laughter for those who knew him. His memory will be cherished by his wife Kathleen; his children Ryan (Tabetha) Beasley and Katie (Ryan) Freels; his four adored grandchildren, Nicholas, Vivian, Lillian, and Jack; and his sister Marcia Mefford. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Curtis.
A memorial visitation will be held at St. Edith Catholic Church on November 9, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial mass at 10:30 a.m. In honor of Harold’s memory, donations may be made to Angela Hospice. Harold will be remembered fondly for his kindness, his love of life’s simple pleasures, and his enduring devotion to family and friends.
