Gil was born in El Campo, Texas to the late Sam Salvatore Albanice and Marie Albanice on September 21, 1943, where he was also raised by step-mother Stella. He served in the Army before his career as a millwright for over 30 years in the automotive industry.
Gil was a proud life member and Past Master of Wayne Masonic Lodge. As a pillar of his Masonic community, Gil received many awards including Mason of the Year, Thrice Illustrious Master of the Year from the state of Michigan, and the Grand Chapter Meritorious Service Award.
Gil is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Beth. Beloved children James (Annie) and Cheryl (Wayne) Grode. Cherished grandchildren Alexander, Dylan, and Bryan. Brother Jack (Nancy) and sister Andrea.
A visitation for Gil will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, with a masonic service and military honors starting at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gil's memory may be made to Wayne Masonic Lodge #112, 37137 Palmer Rd, Westland, Michigan 48186.
