I wanted to share my condolences with Georgiann's family. I only knew Georgiann for a short period of time via her work with the Patient Family Advisory Council that she was on. I am a hospital medicine physician and researcher based at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, and am conducting a research study trying to improve inter-hospital transfers; Georgiann was an active member of the Patient Family Advisory Council that we partnered with in my study. She participated in several focus groups we had last year, offering her valuable input from the patient perspective as we gather more data to try to improve this process of care. I was so thankful for Georgiann's invaluable input into these sessions - she was always willing to speak to the questions posed and offer her perspective as a patient with a lot of experience in the hospital - it was so incredibly helpful to hear her perspective. In addition, she was always such a pleasure to work with. I offer her family my deepest condolences and wanted to share the impact she had on me - she will be very much missed.

Elaine and I knew Georgiann (& Mark) since meeting in a pre-natal class in 1984. We raised our kids together, shared joyous events, celebrated family & mourned together. Most of all, we shared Christ's love and the salvation He freely gives all of us.  Elaine & Georgiann had a special bond especially after she gave blood to save Elaine's life in 1992.  Love to Georgiann was an action word. They were truly sisters with innate abilities to know each other's thoughts and actions.  They shared crafting activities and adventures. Georgiann was so virtuous, never complaining about her health, using it for a great purpose, always positive and encouraging and a joy to be with.  Thank you, Lord for this nearly 40-year gift.  As she would fondly say " Gotta love it."  Even with heavy burden laden hearts, we share with Mark, Nicole & Christina the belief that we will joyously reunite again some sweet day.   Until then, she expects us to live our lives and carry on her example. Rest well, dear friend, your suffering is over now.

Words can never express my sadness for you and your family. I had the honor of partnering with Georgiann on 6B for several years. She helped us to improve processes to ensure patients received the best care possible. Her unwitting personality was a pure joy to be in the presence of. I loved her smile! Her work and commitment to enhancing the patient and family experience will never be forgotten and is her legacy, locally and nationally.

Again, I am sorry for your loss, and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

There’s a quote that says “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”. Georgiann - I am truly at a loss for words knowing I will not see you or be able to have a conversation with you again. I want to say thank you - thank you for being the friend, mentor, sister you were to my mom all of these years. I am forever grateful for the conversations and listening ears you gave me over the years. You were one of the most resilient, positive people I have ever known. Your smile was contagious and something I will always chose to remember. Thank you for giving me two of the very best friends in life I could ask for in Christina and Nicole. I promise that we will keep your memory alive and bring you with us! Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers! ❤️

Georgiann was such a special person who meant a great deal to our family. She will be deeply missed. All my love and many prayers to all of her family and loved ones.

When God gives you a beyond special kind of friendship, He blesses both of you beyond all measure. For me, that friend was Georgiann. The two of us shared every little detail of our lives with each other for 33 years. We raised our kids together, shared our faith in Jesus Christ together, and went on so many vacations together, including a cruise to Hawaii which was on both of our bucket lists. We talked on the phone almost daily and thought so much alike that we would literally finish each others sentences. We shared a belief in our Lord Jesus that was amazing. She gave herself away to so many people selflessly and radiated the love of Jesus to everyone she met. There are no words that could describe how much I will miss her, but my comfort comes in knowing she is in Heaven in the arms of Jesus and that someday I will see her again for eternity. Sending all my love to Georgiann and her entire family.

Jim & I are heartbroken of the news.  She always checked on Jim & I if we were in the hospital.    She was the best friend.  I will miss your calls my friend!

I worked alongside Georgiann as a patient advocate and voice starting in 2016 with a 2 year project we worked on as patient advisers.  She was so knowledgeable, insightful and thoughtful in her responses.  She was my buddy when we all met in DC and she and I went out and did touristy things.  Most recently, we've been working on another project and I was stunned to see she had passed away.  I will miss you Georgiann!!

Jeff and I loved meeting for lunch with Mark and Georgiann. I will miss her humor and sweet deep feelings for her family.

Georgiann was thoughtful and kind.  I was able to get to know her better attending craft classes with her. We shared laughs and stories about life. She will be dearly missed.  May her spirit live on in all the lives she touched.
