Georgene M. Fricke

Fricke, Georgene passed away peacefully in her sleep December 29, 2022 after a gradual decrease in health over the past seven months. She was surrounded by family and had been living temporarily with her son and daughter-in-law while in hospice. Georgene was born February 22,1932 in Cleveland and was named after George Washington's birthday. She attended Sweetest Heart of Mary School in Detroit where she met her husband Frank, of 66 years. She started her career with Bell telephone company and would later work in various secretarial and switchboard operator positions. She retired in the early 1990s from Marketing Displays in Farmington.

Georgene is survived by her oldest son Gary (Cathy predeceased), Chris (MaryAnne), and Kevin (Rochelle). Also surviving are grandchildren: Michelle, Danielle, Kelly, Stacey, Steven, Lindsay, Kayla, and Karissa. She was predeceased by grandson Timothy. She is also survived by several great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Frank (2017), and her son Gregg (1978).

Visitation will be at Harry J. Will Funeral home in Livonia on Wednesday January 4th from 4 to 8 P.M., and Thursday January 5th from 2 to 8 P.M with a 7 P.M Scripture Service.

Funeral Mass will be on Friday, January 6th at St. Colette Catholic Church on Newburgh Road in Livonia at 11:00 A.M. In state 10:30 A.M. prior to Mass. Final interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Southfield.
