In 1961, Fred married the love of his life Dorothy Pedley in Detroit, Michigan. He began working for Ford Motor Company in 1954. He took four years off to serve his country in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 as an Airman First Class, serving at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in the Upper Peninsula. He returned to Ford where he then retired after 37 years.
The love of God and his family were his highest priorities. He faithfully took his family to church and taught them to love the Lord Jesus Christ. He served in his church as an elder, youth leader, Sunday School teacher, Bible Study leader, and more. He enjoyed serving at Bair Lake Bible Camp and, even through his last days, he continued to support the camp's mission to teach others of God’s salvation and love. He always provided well for his loved ones and took his family on many camping trips and other vacation adventures that created lasting memories. He will be missed.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy; his brother Roger Werle; His children Lynne (John) Beaghan, Dawn (Mark) Van Sledright, Tim (Robin) Werle, and Mike Werle; His grandchildren Josh Beaghan, Ben (Kenzie) Beaghan, Katelyn (Matt) Gorr, Melody (Paul) McKinnon, Michelle Van Sledright, Max Van Sledright, Joey (Christy) Hurst, Jessica Hurst (Nick Schotte), Teajay (Kellie) Werle; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick C and Agnes Werle and brother Frank Werle.
