Eleanor Kleban

Eleanor Kleban was born on September 14, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the only child of the late Walter and Katherine Sokolowski. She passed away on September 18, 2014 in Farmington Hills, Michigan at the age of 97.

An avid gardener, Eleanor had a love for flowers throughout her life. In her free time she could often be found reading, quilting or playing Scrabble. Her greatest joy in life was her family.

For 43 years Eleanor was the loving wife of Walter Kleban Sr., who preceded her in death in 1988. She was the beloved mother of Walter (Carolyn) Kleban, Judy (Douglas) Powers and Jane Kleban. Proud grandmother of Laura (Michael) Mikulan, Brian (Leigh) Wilson, Elizabeth (John) McCann, Janet (Michael) Gambalan and Mark Wilson and great-grandmother of Axel, Ingrid, Miguel, Jude, Noah, Dylan, Johnny, Patrick and Joaquin.

Eleanor's family will receive friends on Sunday September 21, 2014 from 4-8 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh) in Livonia.

Her life will be celebrated at 10:30am on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Glen Eden Memorial Park Cemetery 35667 Eight Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152.
