Dorothy Jean Richards

Dorothy was known for her unwavering work ethic, retiring at the age of 71 after a lifetime of dedication and hard work. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore various corners of the world, with a particular fondness for the sunny beaches of Aruba and the enchanting Disney World. She had a joy for boating, and would often take off for a weekend on the boat.

A devout woman, Dorothy was a regular attendee of bible study for many years, finding strength and guidance in her faith. She was especially dedicated to caring for "her boy" Bailey, her beloved grandson. Dorothy adored her fur babies and grandfur babies with all her heart.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving parents, Robert and Blanche Miller.

To cherish her memory, Dorothy leaves behind her daughter Colette (Scott Starks) Richards, her grandsons Bailey Dunsmore and Brandon Starks, and her sister Mary (Bob) Shaner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit, a cause close to Dorothy's heart.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, generosity, and love. May she rest in peace, her memory forever cherished.
