Dennis Michael Murphy Jr.

Age 87, passed peacefully at home among family. Born in Johnstown, PA, son of Dennis M. Sr. and Phoebe (Seth) Murphy.

Preceded by wife Dorothy (Markferding), brother Jack Murphy, sisters Shirley (McGeever), Vivian (Murton) and Patricia (Martin). Sadly missed by sister Barbara Boltz (husband Phillip) and sister-in-law Carole Murphy. Sadly missed by surviving children, Jim (Shelly), Anne, Peggy, Joe and Bob (Melissa). Three surviving grandchildren, Ashley, Michael and Jared. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Loving brother-in-law to Sarah Mosorjak and Robert Markferding.

Graduated Central Catholic H.S. and University of Pittsburgh. Retired engineer of Westinghouse Electric. Army veteran of Korean War. Long time volunteer St. Christine's Soup Kitchen, Detroit MI and lifelong member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Livonia, MI.

A memorial visitation for Dennis will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Home - Livonia, 37000 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, Michigan. A rosary service will occur Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 7:00 PM, 37000 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, Michigan. A memorial mass will occur Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St Michael the Archangel Parich, 11441 Hubbard, Livonia, Michigan.
