David John Lipinski, 72, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17th. He was born August 3, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, to his loving parents, John and Rita Lipinski. David attended Cody High School before becoming a partsman. A devoted husband of 41 years and loving father of three children, Dave was a hands-on parent, who was not afraid to get his hands dirty changing diapers nor of losing sleep for late-night feedings.
David was a kind and thoughtful man, who was an avid music lover. He enjoyed music and music trivia, especially all things Beatles. As a young man, he even taught himself to play guitar. Dave found joy in life's simple pleasures - bowling with friends, fishing, and cheering on the Detroit Lions alongside his brother, Dan. Summer days were often spent sunbathing by the pool. Later in life, watching movies became his favorite pastime. He shared his couch (and lap!) with revolving dogs and a cat or two.
David is survived by his wife, Amy, sons, Eric and Chad Lipinski, daughter, Megan Lipinski, as well as his brother Dan (Marie) Lipinski, and his sister, Judy (late Walt) Reed.
For all of those he loved and touched deeply, please join us on Sunday, November 24, 2024, in gathering from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help homeless animals at the Michigan Humane Society.
