David Anthony Dykowski

David (Dave) Anthony Dykowski passed away on October 2, 2022, at 90 years of age. Dave was the loving husband of Betty for 58 years before she preceded him in death in 2014. Caring father of Dr. Mark (Julie) Dykowski, Tom (Rhonda) Dykowski, Pat (Mike) Cauchi, and Mary Beth (Craig) Messerknecht. Adored grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of 14. Dave was the youngest of 4 and the last surviving sibling. He is survived by sisters-in-law Helen (late Chuck) Dykowski and Jane (late John) Dykowski as well as brother-in-law Joe (Marie) Sullivan as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Rose, siblings Chuck, Barb and John, and daughter Lynn Marie. Dave had a long career in the insurance industry working for the FIA and Johnson and Higgins.

In lieu of flowers, Dave requested donations to one of his favorite causes, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.

A visitation will take place Tuesday, October 4th, from 4-8pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Rd., Livonia, MI 48152. A funeral mass will take place Wednesday, October 5, at 12pm, following an in state period beginning at 11:30am at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd., Livonia, MI 48152.

David will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 25800 W Ten Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48033.
