Darlene graduated from Stevenson High School in 2000. She most recently worked in the Accounts Payable Department at Bildon Parts and Service.
She was an active member of Northridge, often participating in their Bible Study group.
Darlene loved children. She was aunt to many of her friend's children, affectionately know as Aunt D. She always had a soft spot for children and enjoyed working at various daycares throughout the area.
In addition for her love for children Darlene had a passion for music. She could often be found relaxing by singing karaoke or following various sports teams, particularly the Tigers, but most of all she enjoyed her time with friends and family.
Darlene was blessed with many close friends in her life. Once she meet someone they became an instant friend for life. She was a best friend to so many, often being a bridesmaid in their weddings and going to multiple events in an evening so she could support everyone. If she found friends who she thought would be good together Darlene would often try to play matchmaker to ensure her friend's happiness. She was even an adopted daughter to the parents of friends she had lost. She would often visit the them on anniversaries and holidays, taking them flowers or out for a meal.
Darlene was a sweet, kind hearted person. Often described as simply "amazing" she touched many lives and took care of everyone around her. Her grandmother used to call her "Darling Darlene", fitting perfectly with her bright, cheerful and loving demeanor. She was a bright light for so many and will live on in the hearts of all those who knew her.
Darlene is survived by her parents David and Joyce Savage; brother Brandon Savage; grandparents Wesley and Patricia and Frieda Andres and Abram (Suzanne) Andres. She is also survived my numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Darlene's family will receive friends on Wednesday July 18, 2012 from 2-9 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh Rd and I-275) in Livonia.
