He was one of 5 children. Danny passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 in his Livonia, Michigan home, at the age of 76.
Danny was the beloved husband of Laurine for 52 years. Loving father of Danny Edward Jr. (Darlin), and Elizabeth Egerer (Christopher). Dear grandpa of Alex Diehl (Kellie), Liam Diehl, Matthew Egerer, and Kay Egerer.
Brother of Diane Fenrich, Edward Diehl (Sandi), the late Donna Bell (the late Horace), and the late Dr. Charlene Suzy Moore.
Danny was a proud Army Veteran who earned many awards including a Purple Heart as he was a disabled veteran. Among others are the National Defense Service Medal, M-14 Marksmanship/Sharpshooter Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and an Overseas Service Bar.
Danny was and inspector by trade and specialized in Mapping for the city of Livonia. He had an amazing attention to detail that was second to none. He knew where every sidewalk, bush, and tree was in the entire city and documented the changes as they occurred. Danny loved to fish, eat burgers, and listen to classic rock, especially Pink Floyd. However, his passion was his classic cars. His current pride and joy was his 1964 Ford Fairlane and his 1948 Ford F1. He was everybody's best friend and would do anything to help someone out. Although his happiness was his family. He simply loved being a husband, dad, grandpa, uncle and friend to all. He will be deeply missed.
