Cheryl Marie Jurkowski-Weaver was born on November 22, 1949 to her late parents Martin T. Morales and Marie Antoniette Jarzembowski-Morales. Cheryl passed away on October 16, 2020 at the age of 70. Beloved mother to Michelle Marie Sickles (Carl), James Joseph Jurkowski (Kristina), Jamie Martin Jurkowski and Allen Robert Sickles. Loving sister of late Martin A. Morales, Marilyn Marie Vanloon and Anthony Morales. Proud grandmother of Michael James Jurkowski-Minear. Dearest aunt of Jenny, Tommy, Marty, Tony, Jeff and Kevin.
Cheryl had so many great qualities about her. She was a hard worker and did so for many years to provide for her family, a great cook and hosted many family gatherings during the holidays. She was very athletic- she enjoyed bowling on women’s leagues and loved skiing at Pine Knob. Cheryl also loved to travel and even made a big trip to Hawaii.
Cheryl was a wonderful and loving mother. Her greatest love in life was her children and grandson. She was involved in many activities with her children including Brownies and Girl Scouts with Michelle and loved being a Den Mother for Jim and Jamie in Cub Scouts, she was also involved in coaching d T- ball for Allen. She loved spending time with her kids and making memories like going to a U2 concert at The Palace or passing down her artistic traits, even having an art piece displayed at the DIA. Later in life, she enjoyed babysitting her grandson, Michael James, the first 4 years after he was born. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday November 7, 2020 from 10:00am-2:00pm with a memorial service at 1:30pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home in Livonia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michigan Humane Society in memory of Cheryl.
