One of my favorite memories is Christmas Eve at the Bowie house.  There was always food in the oven and many, many presents under the tree.  We would start in the early evening, then take a break to eat, and then back to the presents.  All of us were together.  We talked, laughed and enjoyed the holiday. You made it special.   Now it is your time to rest and to be reunited with your beloved husband and beloved son.  I will always remember your love, goodness, kindness and generosity and I pray for your safe passage to heaven.

My deepest sympathies to the family. Charlotte was a great lady and I enjoyed knowing her, may you rest in peace with Dan.

We loved  spending the night in the canopy room. Nana would give us back rubs until we fell asleep. We woke up to Nana listening to NPR on her old fashioned radio.  Later, she made us her famous cinnamon toast . On her back porch, we sipped iced tea together, laughing and joking around. She  often talked about her twin brothers. Now, she is with her siblings, husband and son, telling them stories about us.
