Caroline, known to many as Carnie, led a remarkable life dedicated to nurturing young minds as a teacher in both elementary school and Sunday school classrooms. After earning a teaching degree at Michigan State University, she became a Licensed Unity Teacher. Caroline’s career was a testament to her nurturing spirit, as she not only shaped young minds but also imbued her own children with values of love, kindness and compassion.
Outside of her professional life, Caroline was deeply involved in her church and community. She served on Peace Committees, participated in Prayer Groups and was continually committed to fostering harmony and spiritual growth.
Caroline was also a loving mother, who cherished that role above all else. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her seven children – Perri Franskoviak, Mike Trout (Nancy), Mike Franskoviak (Linda), Gina Curran (Joseph) Ruthann Trout (Bart), Paul Trout (Alicia)and Christina Horowitz (Shawn).
She was adored by 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.
Caroline was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years Gearld Trout.
Caroline’s life was a testament to the power of love, faith and community, and her memory will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A ceremony to honor and celebrate Caroline’s life will be held on April 13, 2024 at 12:30 pm at Unity of Livonia, 28660 Five Mile Rd., Livonia.
