Caroline (Carrie) Campbell (March 11, 1937 - January 1, 2023), age 85, of Westland, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughter, son-in-law and family. Carrie was born in 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to Vincent and Florence Barresi. She was a loving mother who in return was deeply loved by her family.
Carrie is survived by her daughter Michell (Mark) Zarem, her brother Frank Barresi, as well as by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Campbell and son, Vincent Campbell.
When you think of Carrie the smell of her cooking will fill your mind. She loved making sure that everyone was fed, family, friends, and neighbors. She was known for her spaghetti sauce. Even though people have tried to replicate it, with her right by their side it just does not taste the same. Something is always missing. A secret ingredient. She was elegant. Always well put together. While traveling from places like Italy to Thailand she loved to shop for art and unique items. In her later years she would spend her winters in Florida. Her Florida friends say that she was the life of the party. She loved to read in her "Reading Room" and watching nature out her window was calming. She did enjoy some action though. She could not wait for the new John Wick movie to come out in March. The most important people in her life are her family and friends. If you are a friend, you are family. She will be greatly missed by many.
