Bill Leonard Hillis, age 78 of Livonia, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Loving husband of Sandy for 33 years. Beloved father and step-father of Todd (Camille), Beth (Matt), Bob, Mike (Lisa), David (Helen), Michelle (late Chuck), Lisa (Ron), and Rachael (Ted). Cherished grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Sue (Earl) and Mel (Cherry).
Bill spent his career at Ford Motor Company as a tool maker. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren. He and Sandy traveled around the world together, with their favorite destination being Disney World.
Bill requested that guests wear casual attire. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to St. Jude
A memorial gathering for Bill will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, followed by a memorial service at 11:45 AM.
