Betty E. Clements, age 89, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2012. Betty was born in Detroit, MI on April 13, 1923 to George and Edna Roeser. Betty and her brother Ken grew up on the northwest side of Detroit and graduated from MacKenzie High School. Betty married John W. Clements in 1947, where they found a home they loved in the northern suburbs of Detroit, and lived there of over 50 years. They did not have children, but they shared their love with the children in their family and neighborhood. She spoke fondly of her beloved boxer Sparky. Betty worked for Conrail (Railroad) for many years and retired in the early 1980’s. She enjoyed: family, Christmas, cooking, going to restaurants, family gatherings, dogs, and feeding birds and squirrels. Betty had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed sharing her love of laughter with family, friends, and neighbors.
Beloved wife of the late John Clements; daughter of the late George and Edna Roeser; sister of the late Kenneth Roeser; aunt of Lori Roeser, Kenneth Roeser Jr., Dale and Janet Clements, Gail Clements; sister-in-law of Marilyn Roeser and Betty F. Clements, along with many loving cousins and relatives. Betty was preceded in death by her nephew Kim Clements. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 11a.m. at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia. The visitation hours will be Friday, December 28, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. as well as Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, West Bloomfield. Memorial envelopes will available at the funeral home for the Michigan Humane Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Celebrate her life.
