Aouni Sami Fakhouri

He loved traveling including his yearly trips back to Jordan to visit his brothers. A devoted family man there was nothing he wouldn't do for his wife, children, grandson or siblings.

In July 1980 Aouni married the love of his life, Sabah. Together they enjoyed over 35 years of marriage. Aouni was the beloved father of Tarik Fakhouri, Nisreen Fakhouri-Assaf and Shireen Fakhouri. Proud grandfather of Johnathan Assaf. Dear brother of Akef, Fakhri and Jamil Fakhouri. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sibling Adel and Atif.

Aouni's family will receive friends for visitation on Monday January 11, 2016 from 6-8 pm with Trisagion 7:30 pm and on Tuesday January 12, 2016 from 9 am until the time of his Funeral Liturgy at 10 am at the Basilica of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 18100 Merriman Rd. (north of Six Mile Rd) in Livonia. Interment at Parkview Cemetery in Livonia.
