Ann M. Phipps

Phipps, Ann M. left us on February 20, 2014 at the age of 87. Born in Alpena, Michigan, Ann lost her mother at the age of two and was raised with her four other siblings by a single father. After moving to Detroit after the war, she met Bob and joined him in marriage for over 50 years and shared a love and companionship in raising their four children Linda (Allen), Craig, Alan and Cathy (Queen), enjoying many friends and activities together including golf, bowling and travel. Grandchildren Erin, Jordan, Michael, Brittany, Kelsey and Scott were welcome additions to the family. After Bob’s death in 1998, Ann continued on alone to enjoy her family and many friends. She was able to reach out to make friends easily and became an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Her warmth and good humor was an asset that even in her later years, allowed her to face new challenges with a positive outlook.

Visitation Sunday 1-8 pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Rd. in Livonia. Funeral Service Monday 10 am at the funeral home. Interment Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
