

Born October 2, 1922, Virginia was infamous to her friends and family for knowing Frank Sinatra and performing with him in the nightclubs of Hoboken and Jersey City in the early 1940’s. Moving from Jersey City to Livingston in 1954, Virginia loved to spend the summers in her pool and enjoyed hosting family and friends. She worked at the Llewellyn Edison Bank in West Orange for 25 years before retirement in 1994.
Virginia is predeceased in death by her loving husband, Frederick H. Kalweit. She is survived by her two children: daughter, Ginny Odenbrett and her husband, Randy, of Parsippany and her son, Fred Kalweit and his wife, Susan, of Mendham. Virginia was lovingly adored by her two granddaughters, Lauren Pierson and Lanea Odenbrett. Virginia was also a beloved grandmother to John, Christian, and Robi and great-grandmother to Benjamin, Shane and Liam. She is survived by her sister, Gloria Glover, and predeceased by brothers Jack and Lee. She also leaves behind a number of loving friends and neighbors.
Funeral services for Virginia will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 10:00 AM– 1:00 PM at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home in Livingston. Interment will follow immediately at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
