Thomas L. Deresky, 58, of Livingston, passed away after a brief illness at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, on Friday, February 14, 2014. His family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be offered at St. Philomena’s Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. The cremation will be private.
Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, he moved to Livingston in 1970. Tom was an automobile body repairman at Crigers Auto Body, Fairfield for many years. He was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his family and friends. As a talented hockey player for many years, he was a member of the CHL and Nichol’s Hockey.
Predeceased by his parents, Helena and Martin Deresky, Sr. and brother Ronald, he is survived by his devoted brothers, Martin, Jr., Thomas, Edward, Michael and he was a loving uncle to Tyler, Nicky, Danielle, Lisa Marie, Martin Michael, Jackie, Melissa, Ryan and his dear great nieces, Antoinette and Amy.
