Sandra (Sandy) Kleiman Mendlen, 81, died on Dec. 21, 2017. Born in Newark, she attended Weequahic High School. Sandy worked for The Sirkin Collection Agency and she is retired from the Summit Municipal Court where she worked as a clerk in the Violations Bureau.
Predeceased by her ex-husband, Michael (Mickey) Mendlen, Sandy leaves two children, Leslie Kesselhaut and her husband Marc, and Mark Mendlen. She leaves five grandchildren, Olivia and Greg Kesselhuat, and Alex, Jake and Ben Mendlen. She is survived by her brother Dr. Martin Kleiman and sister-in-law Maria Kleiman. Predeceased by her sister Rosalyn Goodman.
Sandy was known for her acerbic sense of humor. She leaves several dear friends who have adored her for a lifetime.
Services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 24 at Bernheim–Apter–Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Livingston at 10:15 AM.
