Born on December 11, 1931 in East Orange, NJ to Michael and Antoinette (nee Castiglione) Ziccardi. A woman of remarkable strength and professionalism, Rose built a distinguished career as an underwriter, earning respect for her diligence and expertise at Motor Club of America, State Farm, and Alexander & Alexander. Rose was a pillar of her community known for her kindness and generosity. As a member of the Verona Senior Citizen Association, she fostered deep connections and provided unwavering support, creating welcoming space for all. Rose loved to travel and was an avid reader. She was known for knitting Christmas stockings for family and friends.
Predeceased by her devoted husband, Paul Salierno. She is survived by her caring son Thomas Salierno (Beverly) and her loving daughter Teresa Salierno. Her wonderful grandchildren Paul Salierno (Chrissie), and James Salierno (Lauren), adorable great-grandchildren Christopher and Charlotte. Rose is predeceased by her dear brothers Joseph (Violet), Vito (Jean), and sister-in-law, Rose. She is survived by her loving brother, Jerry, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rose's life was a tapestry of love, woven with moments of laughter, shared meals, and heartfelt conversations with family and friends She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
A Visitation for Rose will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039. A Funeral will occur Friday, April 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church, 346 E Mt Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039, with a committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, in North Arlington, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
