Richard M. Fitzgerald

Richard Murray Fitzgerald died August 22, 2012 at the age of 51. The son of Frank and Mary Fitzgerald, Rick grew up in West Orange and attended West Orange public schools. He lived in his beloved West Orange most of his life, working for many years in the bottled water business. He was a kind soul and had many friends in the area. Rick loved Bruce Springsteen and also enjoyed reminiscing about the good old days and remembering the good and not so good times with friends and family, always with his sense of humor. He leaves behind his father Frank of Hightstown, brother Frank of Lawrenceville and brother Jim of Boston, along with six nieces and nephews whom brought him great joy and pride over the years.

His family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Sunday, 2-6 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be offered at St. Joseph’s Church, 44 Benvenue Ave., West Orange, on Monday at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Barnabas Medical Center Foundation, 95 Old Short Hills Rd., West Orange, NJ 07052.
