Born in Livingston, Rich lived in town for many years, where he was a Sergeant with the Livingston Police Department before retiring in 1989. He joined the military after high school and was in France as a member of the Military Police. Upon returning home, Rich joined the force in Livingston. Following his time working in Livingston, he moved to E. Stroudsburg with his wife, Andrea until her passing in 2019.
He is survived by his children—Scott Fenske, Deborah & William Rodgers, Sean & Nicole Fenske, and Dawn & Robert Cloud; his grandchildren—Samantha Rodgers, Shanna & Matt Powell, Brandon & Alexa Rodgers, Sydney Fenske, Jordan Fenske, and Alexa Cloud; and great-grandsons—Jackson Powell and Wyatt Powell.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 12th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ with a prayer service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
